Context

TACA (Table Agroalimentaire de Chaudière-Appalaches) supports the region's agri-food producers and processors. One observation kept coming up: small local businesses don't have the same time, money, and personnel resources as large retailers to deliver their products. In a region as vast as Chaudière-Appalaches, transport resources and capacity are limited. AgroTaxi was born from this need.

The challenge

Agri-food SMBs in Chaudière-Appalaches couldn't afford to deliver like large retailers. Regional transport capacity was limited, and each producer delivered alone — expensive, inefficient, and polluting.

Our solution

La 13e Solution's role was to bring to life an idea that the TACA team already had, providing the technological means to turn this concept into the daily reality of the region's producers and merchants.

AgroTaxi is a free, subscription-free app that facilitates connections between agri-food producers and processors. A business owner making deliveries can monetize their trips by accepting to deliver another company's products on their route for compensation.

Conversely, a business owner can have their products delivered without traveling, at lower cost, while actively contributing to greenhouse gas emission reductions. The app launched in November 2024 and has been free since March 2025.
